No lines in middle of road
Reported via mobile in the Other highways issue category anonymously at 17:54, Sun 11 May 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14176691.
Last March this stretch of carriageway was resurfaced, but the cross hatching white lines were never reinstated and therefore it is causing a hazard when cars are overtaking on this part of the road and it is making it dangerous to pull out of my driveway

Phone call today to advise that the works have not yet taken place. This is a fast stretch of road, and cars are overtaking here due to no double white lines being in place. Please can this be looked into and a date given to customer to say when works will take place.

Today there was yet another near miss outside our property which involved a lorry and a car and also a cyclist and a parked lorry. The driver of the car lost their wing mirror and it could have been a whole lot worse. I am requesting that the lines are reinstated as a matter of urgency before there is a fatality outside here. The nights are drawing in and people are driving faster than ever and taking more risks as they do no realise that there is no over takingo

So today there has been a head on collision and I think this is as a result of the lack of road markings again. It’s funny how the road has been resurfaced and white lines reinstated within days on the edge of wenlock rise in Bridgnorth and it is 30 miles per hour area, but when the traffic moves at speeds in excess of 60mph outside my property it has been left. I am asking again as a matter of urgency that the work is completed here. It is nearly 2 years since the road was resurfaced.
