Verge worn away over a period of one week
Reported via desktop in the Other Highways issue category anonymously at 22:18, Thursday 1 May 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14176282.
Severn Trent carried out work at the junction of the main road through the village and the tracks leading up to Mytton Dingle & Perkins Beach Dingle. When this work was done they placed cones on the side of the road alongside the boundary of the property "Mountain Peace". This narrowed what is already a narrow road and traffic had to squeeze by and subsequently drove over the verge on our side of the road. This has resulted in the verge being worn away. During heavy rainfall when the stream overflows we get a lot of water running down this road and now it can bypass the drains. By our entrance we have kerbs protecting the verge, so I'm requesting that the verge is re-instated and preferably kerbed to protect it in future.
