Car has been parked on the verge for 1 month
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14175195.
Vehicle appears to have been involved in a RTC with front end damage and has been parked off the road on to the verge. The vehicle isn't of interest to Police. Owner is from Somerset and insurance on the vehicle has been cancelled since being left on the side of the road. Likely the owner is not claiming on insurance so has abandoned the vehicle due to its value. The vehicle was newly insured and MOT'd prior to being abandoned and was taxed at the beginning of the year for 12 months, likely the tax wont lapse until 2nd January 2026. The vehicle isn't blocking the highway so Police have no powers to remove it, also cant remove on behalf of the DVLA until 2nd March 2026 (has to be 2 months and a day over). The council possibly have responsibility to remove under the refuse disposal act.
