Road surface in terrible state

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14174738.

Caller adding her report to number of other reports about the road surface heading from Pulverbatch down towards Sheppen Fields being completely awful. Grocery deliveries arrive damaged and the company that delivers their oil is now refusing to travel down the lane due to the state of the surface. She is worried that eventually the road surface will get so bad they won't get grocery deliveries, or worse, emergency vehicles down here.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
