Pothole about 1 foot long and several inches deep outside Stoney Pound.

My builder badly sprained his ankle in this pothole last spring. It was marked for repair in the summer, but nobody repaired it and the markings washed away. It was subsequently filled, but obviously couldn't be called a repair as there has been a hole there for weeks now. Please get it repaired properly this time.

    When is this going to be repaired, it's 8 months now since I reported it and it's getting bigger. That is a one foot ruler in the photo, so the length of the entire pothole is now about 3 feet (one metre). It's also getting deeper and stones keep being ejected from it when traffic plunges into the hole. For some reason you repaired some holes near it a few weeks ago but left this one!

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
