Severe road service damage

Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 16:59, Mon 24 March 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14173879.

From around Fishmore Hall to the entrance to Pearce Cycles, and further beyond that, there is extensive surface damage to the road. It looks as though some farm machinery or something similar, has scored holes and slits into the Road surface, this will make it very susceptible to frost damage. It should be fairly easy to track the damage and perhaps work out where it starts and finishes, thereby pointing to cause. The damage is fairly recent and has only appeared within the last week.

  • The damage is over a greater area, it is also in parts of Fishmore Road. It continues up the road, past Fishmore Hall, the entrances to Wigley Farm, Pearce Cycles and then turns right onto the road that leads to Stoke St Milbirough.
