Very dangerous junction

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway surface problem category anonymously at 11:40, Wednesday 5 March 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14172099.

The road surface is further deteriorating. It is extremely dangerous on both sides of the carridgeway. It is not safe for two way traffic.

There are large chippings and stones are all over the road this is causing damage to our vehicles. I have had two chippings/stones damage my windscreen.

As a temporary measure, the current traffic lights could be extended to go around the corner to the Edgton turning. This would make is safer. The current state of road is not safe for two way traffic.

The whole of the A489 between the Wistanstow Junction and Lydham needs to have a Shropshire Council inspection ASAP and repairs carried out urgently.
