Multiple road surface potholes along the carrage way

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14170186.

Multi Surface road damage and deep potholing over a long stretch of carriage way in the Ellesmere to Shrewsbury road especially the junction of the a485 to Whitchurch Shrewsbury junction Many cars motorcycles and cyclists have experienced Wheel rim and tyre damage. Thus stretch of road is now in a serious state of disrepair and can cause a serious accident to pedestrians and all road users alike now.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
