Dangerous Road Surface

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14169729.

The road surface in this location is in an extremely poor state with deep and wide potholes straddling both carriageways, as well on the junction itself. Whilst this has been reported on multiple occasions over the past month, there is still no action to repair the road. Vehicles are crossing the carriageways to avoid the potholes and a number of near misses have been observed. There will be an accident at this location unless repairs are prioritised.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
