Continual unwanted parking of vehicles
Reported via desktop in the Other Highways issue category anonymously at 17:11, Wednesday 5 February 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14168889.
As reported in January,(see photo Jan report) directly outside our house (along our actual boundary and house wall) all types of vehicles park throughout the day. (New photo clearly illustrates this daily occurrence)This creates multiple issues for us, with the most serious concern is the damage that is continually taking place to the pipes along our wall ( see photo). Also, more importantly we are concerned what damage is being done underneath the road to the pipe infrastructure. This is very concerning when large heavy trucks/ vans park there. Also this parking blocks our light into our property and hinders our accessibility to our drive. Also we have daily issues with cars, vans, supermarket trucks parking directly outside our gates which blocks our entrance/exit to our property. This simply is getting worse and is now creating much stress and daily frustration. Please see just a sample of photos we have that clearly illustrate what we have to put up with EVERY DAY. Last Saturday was the final straw and we had to bump/jack a vehicle out of the way because the owner could not be found and we needed to leave our property. This is simply unacceptable. We have in the past, enquired about yellow lines being put there to prevent this parking but was told it was not needed. We fear and anticipate there will be major issues going forward as this irresponsible, inconsiderate parking this is not addressed. Please advise asap. I intend to take this matter further.

Can you please clarify why the above issues I have stated are to do with Shropshire Council? I agree the parking which blocked our drive is an offence and I have contacted the police accordingly. But what about the continual parking alongside our boundary wall where vehicles of all sizes drive over and park on the pipe work and manhole cover which is now beginning to protrude? Please provide a link to where I need complain as I cannot find any relevant department on your website? Also where do I enquire about the possibility of having yellow lines outside our property? This would stop all of the issues.
