Crumbling road surface with largr ruts and potholes

Reported via Android in the Carriageway surface problem category by Ian Tong at 12:52, Tuesday 4 February 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14168732.

The state of the section of lane from Marton to the first martonbeech junction has been poor for a while, but the recent bad weather has led to a disintegration of the surface, rutting either side and a number of large potholes. The road is almost impassable for small wheeled vehicles and may well have already damaged others.i have not included any photo's as I know you are aware of this due to a recent conversation with the lady who supervises this area.

  • Added photo's for this stretch of road - but will provide additional evidence for work up the lane towards the Marton beech junction and down the lane towards Marton

  • Additional photo's showing damage at bend which creates an additional hazard on a dangerous blind Goose kneck turn.
