Verges have been destroyed along the lane

The verge has been destroyed due to cars parking on the opposite side of the road forcing other road users to drive off road onto the verge which has destroyed the road edge.

This causes a risk to pedestrians as I have twisted my ankle while walking, as the verge has gone and is quite deep.

I would also like to point out it has the potential to cause issues to vehicles as not all cars and car tyres can handle going off road / half on and half off the road.

If damage is caused to a pedestrian or vehicle will the council be offering compensation?

This needs to be repaired or the road widened to allow vehicles to park and also use the road.
