Numerous, large potholes.
Reported via mobile in the Carriageway pothole category by Rob Hall at 13:31, Saturday 18 January 2025
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14166540.
From the volume of large HGV'S using the unsuitable lane the soft verges have been destroyed and as a result the edge of the road surface is getting damaged. There are multiple large deep holes along this stretch of road. Two are nearly as deep as my hand (7inches) Also the 5 soakaway drainage gulleys that are full of mud. Highways came out 6 months ago and spent 5 mins digging ONE of them out sat in the van for 40 minutes then left. Perhaps if the contractors repaired them properly first time then the repairs would last. There's multiple surface faults and potholes between the Crossroads by Stoke on Tern School and TF9 2LB post code. Previously having had white paint markings but never followed up with repairs. Damage or injury WILL be caused due to these being hidden by water during heavy rain. Both because they aren't repaired or can't be seen as maintenance to the road hasn't been done properly in years.
