Highway Gully expelling water onto the Highway

Reported via desktop in the Standing water on the highway category anonymously at 11:43, Thursday 16 January 2025

Sent to Shropshire Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 14166305.

Highway Gully is in a Surcharged State with a Constant Discharge rising from the Grating onto the Highway. Please note road speed is 60mph. This discharge is freezing over both lanes each night posing a Serious Danger to Motorists. Black Ice is forming on the Highway. During Storm Conditions a Large Flow rises from the grating washing silt and detritus across both lanes of the A528 at Whitemere. Given the large amount of silt that has been rising out from the grating there is a Risk that land is being washed away causing danger to the neighbouring property.
