Very Important sign for Car Park requires replacing asap

I serve as a volunteer member on the 'Visitor Economy Working Group' for the Church Stretton Town Council.

One of my 2024 projects was to identify the signs in Church Stretton Town Centre and further a field within the Church Stretton border.

The photographs attached show that the sign 'Car Park' that is attached to the streetlight post opposite Easthope Road, Church Stretton. This 'Car Park' sign has faded to the point that it is unreadable to vital visitors and holiday makers that come to the holiday town of Church Stretton.

Church Stretton replies heavily on tourism, especially now coming into the 2025 seasons.

Would you please help us by replacing this 'Car Park' sign as soon as possible.

  • Just reporting in to ask about the progress in replacing the Car Park sign located in Sandford Avenue (town side).

    This Car Park sign points to the Car Park in Easthope Road, Church Stretton. It is a very important road sign and really needs to be replaced as soon as possible.

    I accept that you are very busy at the moment. You and the team are doing wonderful repairs that are getting noticed by all.

    I have a Public Realm meeting to attend on the 4th of March 2025. I would like to report to the Chairperson of the Public Realm that the Car Park sign issue has been resolved.

    Afternoon 'FixMyStreet' Team,

    Sorry to be a pain but we really need to get this Car Park sign replaced as soon as possible to allow the tourists, holiday makers and visitors the information they require to park in Church Stretton and thus to help the shops and traders within the Strettons Community.

    Could you please provide an update when we could possibly have a replacement 'Car Park' sign for this location, (opposite Easthope Road/Sandford Avenue junction).

    Alternatively, can you send me a self adhesive 'Car Park' sign and I will stick it on this sign myself with the help of ladders.
