It is on the lane going through Milson outside of Court Cottage DY14 0AU
Reported via desktop in the Dangerous Tree category anonymously at 12:16, Mon 16 December 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14163293.
The tree is hanging over the lane. The recent storm has made it unstable so that it is leaning over the lane more. Tractors and other vehicles are taking off the lower branches of the tree as they drive down the lane.
Can you please investigate and have the tree trimmed back?

Once again, there is a yellow weather warning of wind from 9:00 am on Wednesday 1st January until 6:00am on Thursday 2nd January. The tree remains a concern,it is over 60 feet tall and there is potential damage to our property should it fall.

URGENT ATTENTION REQUIRED Our concerns for the dangerous tree are growing, as we continue to have weather warnings for high winds and storms. Potentially, the tree will cause major damage to our residence and of course block the lane. This concern was first reported on 16th December 2024 and to date has not been investigated.

Referring to my partner's series of emails re the above, we received a response dated 31.1.25. stating that action was 'scheduled'. That is a very ambiguous word when not associated with a date, and has not been clarified by now being advised on 8.4.25 that the matter is now 'open'. Unfortunately, since your January email, Spring has arrived and the tree is now fully in leaf. This means that it would be more susceptible to move in high winds and also will be much more difficult to shorten or fell than in Autumn or Winter. We are becoming very concerned on this matter. The inclination and height of this leaning tree indicates that if it was uprooted or severed due to high winds it would inevitably fall onto our cottage. Potentially the damage would be structurally very serious, and if it occurred during the night, could cause serious injury to the residents. I therefore would appreciate urgent attention to this matter and preferably information regarding a proposed date/s for action to be taken, Mr Russell Knapper.
