Drain in road still blocked, 11 months after first reported

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14161621.

Drain gulley in the road is blocked and water is flowing down the road instead of below ground. This issue has been present for almost a year.

When reported previously you have said it would be fixed with the next round of regular maintenance. This was attempted recently but it didn’t work and the blocked drain remains.

Previously you have closed the ticket as being complete because you said it would be fixed with the next round of maintenance. Please don’t close this ticket until it is actually complete.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
