10" Pothole, 8" pothole, carriageway breaking down

Although the drains have been repaired which is helping the issue on this part of the road the carriageway was never finished and it is now breaking down causing large potholes to appear again. Although the drains are taking some of the water there is still a lot of water which is not draining away and adding to pothole issue. The carriageway needs completely resurfacing not just putting tarmac in the holes.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
