Grass overgrowth making paths too narrow

Reported via mobile in the Grass problem category anonymously at 19:12, Friday 29 November 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14161518.

Along the A41, from riverside drive on to hedley way, on both sides of the road, the paths are so narrow due to the grass growing over the paths. This is a school route and people walking from riverside have no other choice but to walk dangerously close to a very busy main road. I myself have to push a pushchair along that road with one hand whilst holding my young child's hand to walk to and from school. It's terrifying with the speed the cars and lorries go past just inches away from us. The grass verges really could do with being cut back. I saw them being cut back further up near the shell garage and feel they should be done along the a41. My son has tripped over the edge of the verge also as the path just isn't wide enough for the pushchair myself and my 4 year old which just adds to the dangers.
