3 foot wide pothole at the end of 60 mph straight

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14161516.

I reported this 3 weeks ago when pothole covered in water and very dangerous.Around 8 cars to my knowledge could be many more have now hit it and been damaged from it .This will cost more in claims than to repair properly. TO my knowledge several repairs have failed the contractors employed should be made to repair it properly and be held to account.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
