Silt and stones in road - outside Shelderton House

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14158207.

Following flooding on Wednesday 16th October and Thursday 17th October 2024 a large amount of silt and stones have been left in the road, silt is several inches deep and now becoming rutted, with a possibility of damage to cars. A JCB or loadall will be needed to move this due to the quantity of material.

  • Customer rang back to say a crew has been out to try to clear this up, but they apparently said they weren't aware of how much would be there and they had no access to a lorry to remove it. It has now been dumped in a pile at the side of the road, so he asked if we can send someone else out to clear it as soon as possible. He also asked if the area technician could ring him to discuss this with him as well.

  • Has called as this is still here, there has now been some soil dumped here within the last week. This needs clearing ASAP as it will encourage more people to dump things here.
