Blocked overflowing drain

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14158153.

Drain to left of Stonehouse gate blocked resulting in water overflowing down road eroding the road and collecting at junction of A464. Happens regularly and needs jetting please.

  • Road also been eroded by the flowing surface water with potholes outside gate. Please can this be repaired?

  • Flooding today 24/11/24 flowing over junction with A464 causing traffic to swerve to avoid. Newhouse lane being eroded by stream of water flowing

  • The water has been flowing down this section of road (bottom of Newhouse Lane) for about 3 months now due to blocked drains and is now causing significant road erosion and potholes. Please can this work be expedited?

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
