Water flooded on road

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14158038.

There is a blockage on a concrete drain with silt and rubbish this is causing water to flood the road. I have tried to clear the pipe but I have not had any success unfortunately.

  • Officers attended yesterday and appeared to clear the blockage, however this morning it was flooded again. Officers did say to make contact if it happens again & they will return, so could this be arranged asap

  • Hi problem continues. Seven Trent have visited today and advised we need to get back in touch with Shropshire council. In their opinion the drain to the surface water drain needs suction to clear the blockage. Their ref no. 13837535 Thank you

  • The problem has been ongoing for 2 weeks now. The drain is still blocked and water running down through trees to Brynhafod Lane. Please can you update us as to what is happening.

  • Customer called to let us know that the water is still flowing out of the wall and runs down an embankment with trees that are protected. Please know that the problem has not been fixed - please came and look for yourself. Please contact customer because it is more than likely that you will need to access customers property/garden to fix the issue. THIS IS NOT FIXED SO PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE UNTIL YOU HAVE VISITED THE SITE AND COMPLETED THE WORK NEEDED. 07506753129 - Mr Gibson phone number.

  • Customer called again today for a update as still nothing has been done. customer advised the water is still flowing out of the wall and runs down an embankment with trees that are protected, Customer is getting very frustrated as she has to keep calling for a update and would like to speak to someone from highways regarding this ongoing issue. They have spoke to Severn Trent and they advised it is Shropshire Councils pipe and needs unblocking. Please can you contact the customer regarding this.
