Drains are blocked near to junction Haughton Farm

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14157758.

Water has been lying over the road for over 4 weeks as the two drains opposite each other are blocked. This is an issue to road users and pedestrians who use this route. There is a further drain blocked approximatley 60mtrs further down the lane heading towards bridgnorth located by the gateway to a field.

  • Why is this taking so long, this is creating further problems on a road that was re-surfaced a few years ago, water is running to the lowest point but damaging the road. In the long term this will cost Shropshire council more by repairing the road that is being eroded. When the temperature drops below freezing ice forms causing hazards to all road users. I reported this in October 2024 and still no closer to being resolved, but as mentioned the longer it is left the more damge it is causing.
