Two Drains completely blocked
Reported via desktop in the Drain blocked category by Mark Humpage at 13:12, Sat 12 October 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14157285.
These two drains on Stockhall Lane were reported back in January 24 and have not been attended to. Our Parish Council lengthsman has made several attempts to dig them out and rod them without any success heavier machinery is needed. The area in which the drains sit is a flat section and as you can see from the photographs water accumulates on the road. When the rain is heavy water pours down Stockhall Lane and then onwards to Hopton Wafers village where properties suffer torrents of water. Attention to these drains is a priority before winter sets in. Cllr Mark Humpage Hopton Wafers Parish Council

These drains continue to be completely blocked and last nights rain resulted in torrents of water continuing down Stockhall Lane to Hopton Wafers Village, residents are having to sandbag drives to prevent houses flooding. These two drains need to be cleared as a matter of urgency before costly damage occurs.
