Timings not great for crossing Roman Road.

Reported via desktop in the Other Traffic Signals issue category anonymously at 17:57, Thu 10 October 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 14157176.

Traffic lights (coming down the hill on Roman Road, towards the Esso garage) change to red, then turn straight back to green instantly before you are even two steps into crossing the road. If a car was coming down the Roman Road in the right hand lane, they wouldn't be able to see that someone had attempted to cross the road. They would only see the current green light and continue at speed. Old people especially, but women with children or people with dogs, probably wouldn't realise that the lights have instantly turned back to green prior to crossing as they are concentrating on their children or pets crossing the road.
