Large area of pothole/ road surface damage

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14156318.

This pothole/ surface problem is still causing a big problem. Vehicles are swerving to avoid it and it is only a matter of time before a road accident occurs and the consequences will be partly the Authority's fault. It seems this is a continual problem as this area has been reported many times over a long period of time. In my experience of dealing with serious injury road accidents I would hold the powers of be to be culpable.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
