Green signal for pedestrians lacks beeping sound

Reported via mobile in the Temporary Traffic Light Fault category anonymously at 09:07, Friday 20 September 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council 4 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes later. Council ref: 14155940.

The green signal for pedestrians no longer has its accompanying beeping sound. This has been faulty for at least 2 months. It does light up green but without the beeping it can mean that pedestrians don’t notice the change from red to green. This is especially concerning at this location, where older children from St George’s Junior are walking to school without adults. Please prioritise fixing this issue for their safety.
