A clump of sycamore trees high on the bank of the lane, The Rock,Sheriffhales have outgrown their location. The trees are are a cluster of self seeded sycamores which have been cut on one side by the utility company to prevent branches overhanging the mains electric cables. However, this has lead to the trees growing lop sided and over the highway. Branches are falling off the trees and the trunk of at least one appears diseased. The location, The Rock, Sheriffhales, is the lane leading to the local primary school. In addition, the bank is overgrown and vegetation now makes the single lane highway even narrower. No maintenance has been carried along this length of highway for many years. As a consequence of heavier rainfall and high winds the trees are at greater risk of being blown over due to their precarious position. A would suggest a visit should be made to assess what work is necessary to prevent future incidents.

Self set sycamore trees, approx 6 of 30m plus in height have outgrown their location and are in danger of falling over. Branches are currently regularly falling in the highway below. The trees are perched on a mud back approx 3m above the highway and branches overhang the highway.
