Unlicensed motorcycle use

Reported via mobile in the Other Highways issue category anonymously at 11:01, Monday 9 September 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14154827.

A large number (circa 5 daily) of frequently unlicensed motorcycles use the unnamed road/footpath and rail bridge to the rear or Windermere road as a through road to access Harlscott in both directions. This has been on going for atleast the 12 months I have lived on the road, though I suspect it’s been used for far longer. These bikes are often ridden at speeds exceeding 30mph on a path that should only be used by cyclists and pedestrians. Replacement of the central bollard at the far end of the bridge may discourage motorbikes, and occasional presence of enforcement
