Streetlight outside house not working, pitch black around area and dangerous
Reported via desktop in the Street Light Out category anonymously at 21:26, Thursday 5 September 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14154601.
I’ve noticed this street light has been off for ages now whilst the others are on. It used to go off at 12am understandably, when most are asleep. But it doesn’t even come on at all. I’m writing this 20 past 9 at night. But even now it’s getting dark it’s not on at all. I believe it’s faulty and not been checked. It’s quite dangerous since I live with my grandad and he comes back from going out in the evening around 9/10pm. So it’s a risk for him because he won’t be able to see aswell just outside near our home so I’m quite concerned. I’m his granddaughter. I live at 7 beech grove and it’s just outside the house this streetlight. It’s a nuisance for me especially if I need to pop outside or if I’m coming back from a friends one evening I can’t see at all since it’s pitch black now around the streetlight so it’s not safe. I’d be very grateful if you could sort this issue. I also feel safe at the evening with that street light on outside so I’m aware of passers by but without it makes me slightly anxious. Since I wouldn’t be able to see who’s coming to the door if approached.
Kind regards, Sian
