Fall due to hole in the footway around water meter see photos

This morning I had a bad fall caused by the hole around the water meter cover in High Street Shrewsbury at around 9.50am on 5th September. I hit the pavement and have a large bruise developing on my chin, a graze on my right knee and hyperextended part of my right hand. The reason I am sending this I want to avoid other people having a similar fall.
