Street lights out on Wenlock Road

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14154211.

Street lights out and pitch dark for over a week on Wenlock Road, Bridgnorth. Incredibly dangerous as this road has so many potholes and pitch darkness. Walking on the pavement was frightening, pitch black. Please fix ASAP.

  • The lights have not come on tonight! I received an e-mail stating they had been fixed? The lights are still not working on the Wenlock Road just up from The Wheatlands, Bridgnorth. It is so dark and as a lone female walking I feel incredibly vulnerable as cars speed past too and the road is plaged with potholes. Please fix ASAP.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
