Unsuitable road for a diversion
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway surface problem category anonymously at 09:31, Sunday 18 August 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14153380.
Saturday morning 17.08.24 driving to Cleobury met with a diversion sign on Tenbury Road taking me up Hollywaste, this is not a suitable road for a diversion as it is too narrow and poorly maintained. On my return journey home an hour later I found the road had been open all the time SOMEONE FORGOT TO TAKE THE SIGNS DOWN?

With respect changing the direction of the diversion from going up Hollywaste to coming down Hollywaste dose not warrant your title of “FIXED” I also note all the potholes remain on Hollywaste The roadworks which you can see were started AM on 23.08.24 to fix a water leak, the work force left on Friday afternoon and have not been back as time of writing 28.08.24 so the road remains closed!

I phoned Severn Trent 28.08.24 to ask about these road closure and the chap I spoke to was very helpful and sent a team out within 3 hours to finish this work and the road is now open. UNFORTUNATLY THE POTHOLES ON HOLLYWASTE REMAIN
