Overgrown hedges uncut stream bank bordering road and footpath.

Reported via desktop in the Flower/Shrubs bed problem category by Christine Ritchie at 16:15, Friday 16 August 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14153320.

Residents have allowed hedges to be overgrown to encroach on the road and footpath. Also there is a drain which is partially covered. The stream bank should be cut by Highways Department twice per year and gas not been as result totally out of control. All this is a danger to pedestrians and motorists as visibility is restricted.

  • Road sweeping / scraping required at Worthen after stream flooded. First photograph shows the extent of the mud therefore it will need to be taken away. Second photograph shows manhole covered with the ever growing bank photograph taken prior to flood. All drains and manholes need clearing regularly.
