Large/deep potholes across exit.

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14153230.

These have been marked up by Highways at least 3 times but not addressed (the markings now worn away). The holes are deep and expand over a 2msq area. Surface is uneven and a hazard for pedestrians (in particular infirm or disabled) who use this extensively (nearby Pelican to cross to The Mere).

  • Still outstanding and getting deeper. We have witnessed 2 pedestrians fall at our exit this last fortnight due to the pothole trip hazard.

    2 pedestrian falls (one serious) and 1 motorbike rider unseated. These are just the casualties that we know of. No fix and no markings. Risk assessment = moderate/high (daytime) high (night)

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
