Small wire haired terrier dog was wandering dangerously across level crossing (nearly hit by train) and on main Shrewsbury Road (almost hit by several cars). Stopped traffic in both directions. Dog has taken shelter at side of road behind an outbuilding adjacent to CATS (Craven Arms Tyres Services Centre)

Reported via mobile in the Dog stray category anonymously at 16:38, Thu 1 August 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 14152322.

Dog is one of several locals have reported in recent days. Thought to originate from travellers site nearby. One dog already killed on road. This one had no road sense (or rail sense) and is lucky to have escaped so far. Many locals tried to herd the dog to safety but it took refuge behind this outbuilding. Hot day. Dog panting.
