Temporary Traffic lights but no work being done for months

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14150743.

These temporary traffic lights have been set up between a coned off area of the road for several months. I drive past them every day and not once have I seen any work being undertaken. You must be renting these lights from someone and its just a total waste of taxpayer money not to mention the daily inconvenience.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
