Highway Surface Issue

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14150596.

Issue with the surface of highway at junction of B4397 and the entrance to THE DRIFT HOUSE, SPRINGFIELD BARNS, MARTON, MYDDLE, SHREWSBURY, SY4 3SA, including a hole in the surface, needs attention.

  • Photos attached to show what was discussed on the phone that the top tarmac hole has just appeared but the hole underneath the tarmac is much bigger

  • Morning We are still awaiting the full repair of this sinkhole over 6 months after reporting it and a temporary repair put in place. The temporary repair of tarmac has started to sink again with no indication as to the size of the sinkhole beneath which was approx 1m2 previously. As buses, lorries, feed waggons continue to drive over this patch daily the risk remains of a serious accident. We would so appreciate an urgent review of the fault. Best regards Donna Cooke
