Reported via desktop in the Overgrown Trees/Hedges category anonymously at 13:41, Wednesday 19 June 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14149166.

Customer reporting that the hedges are very overgrown on both sides of the cycle/footpath causing cyclists to be on the pedestrian side. Customer's child was nearly knocked over this morning on the footpath due to this issue. The same issue happened four times last week and if something is not done then an accident is going to happen

  • Customer called for a update, as this bush has not been cut, he want to know why it was not cut earlier in the year. Please can you advise customer of this. It is a issue for a lot of people as this walkway is very well used by parents and children as it is the walk way to the school. Please can this be cut ASAP or cut back until it can be cut properly

  • Phone call today from customer to advise of a near miss this morning with his children walking on the pedestrian side of the path and a cyclist coming around the corner on their side of the path - due to overgrown hedge on the cyclist side of the pathway. Please can this be looked into as soon as possible to avoid injury.
