Plant debris

Reported via mobile in the Flower/Shrubs bed problem category anonymously at 07:20, Sunday 16 June 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14148899.

Twice a day I use the pathway that runs alongside featherbed lane, from the cut through to Allerton Road to the Harlescott schools. This part of the pathway is becoming more dangerous for pedestrians due to the overgrown shrubbery and the debris has now halved the size of the walkable area. Children and parents have to either step into the busy road or push themselves into the shrubbery to let others past. I don't think it will be long before there is an accident on the stretch. Children on bikes have to use the pathway because of inconsiderate drivers parking on the pathway by the school and wide cars taking over the cycle lane. This pathway should be urgently cleaned up and maintained by the council due to its proximity to a school. The more long term suggestion is that the pathway on featherbed lane should be extended to include the cycle lane on the pathway and made safer for pedestrians. .
