Low and noisy iron covers

Reported via mobile in the Ironwork high/low category by Steven James Page at 08:28, Wednesday 1 May 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14145553.

My property is on the junction of Maxfield Drive and Otelely Road with the main bedroom overlooking the junction. Since we moved in at the beginning of February this year we have noticed that when any vehicle goes over the square chamber lid there is a sound like beating a drum twice with a hammer. The traffic noise itself is not a problem as it is expected but the beating drum noise is steadily becoming louder.

  • Had no reply to my original report four months ago. No one has visited the faulty ironworks as yet and the problem is getting worse. If one half of the square cover drops into the chamber it will cause a bad accident

    State changed to: Open
