Huge pothole
Reported via mobile in the Pothole in a road category anonymously at 12:55, Wed 17 April 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14144383.
Where do I start. I live in Ightfield and have to travel for work. The roads by Ash, Ightfield, Calverhall and Burleydam are in total disrepair. I have had to have 3 TYRES this year!! Awful 'repairs' have been attempted and now the potholes are growing and the roads are so unsafe to drive on! It makes you question why we pay our road & council tax! This issue with potholes isn't just in my local area but throughout North Shropshire. I am being forced to pay unnecessary expenses because the council are not taking responsibility for fixing the roads. I am 23 years old, on minimum wage, have a household to pay for, bills and food etc. How do you expect young people, who have not got an abundance of money to cope with the cost of living crisis, and pay for new tyres every month because the council can't fix the roads!
