12” Deep flooding in lane for months…!

Reported via mobile in the Standing water on the highway category anonymously at 17:18, Wednesday 3 April 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14142958.

There are two drains adjacent to this lane at this point that I have many time over the last 2 years cleared to alleviate the flooding. Both drains are now overcome with silt & the lane has been flooded for months. Until recently the water level has been reduced via a trench dug into an adjacent field. This has proved to be insufficient in recent days/weeks & the problem of constant flooding needs proper attention as does the rest of the lane which is in a shocking state of repair. The lane from here to the A49 via Cheney Longville is covered in deadbry, soil, mud, grass & fallen tree branches all of which are an unnecessary hazard to road users.
