Section of lane Worcs/Shropshire boundary
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway pothole category anonymously at 11:06, Wed 27 March 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14142281.
Where the large puddle is on the right you can see the line of tarmac ending the Worcestershire part of the lane and the start of Shropshire part. Just a short distance up the lane the potholes begin. It has rained yet again last night and some of the puddles in the potholes are ankle deep. The post van has just about managed to get past. The lane is the main link for Knighton on Teme community, including the caravan site, to reach Cleobury Mortimer or Tenbury Wells. Being a rural area, it has constant tractor and heavy machinery traffic. It is also used by people in motorhomes who attend the monthly ralley cross event close by. The Shropshire part of the lane is not that long, but has not been resurfaced in any section in the last 10 years. The potholes are simply filled and open up again, some within weeks of this work. The worst section is alongside the orchard.
