Multiple large potholes and road-side collapsing.

Reported via mobile in the Carriageway pothole category anonymously at 13:19, Sun 17 March 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14141315.

The potholes are continuing to get larger and increase in number. Due to this in the single-track highwaiy is impossible to miss at least one. The road is still becoming increasingly dangerous. Any further subsidence will mean that we may be isolated from safe access

  • These potholes are still getting even bigger. I was worried when the septic tank emptying tanker came recently as it would have been very heavy after emptying our 600 gallon tank. Managed OK though but not sure how much longer the carriageway will support further heavy vehicles. We will be expecting some large tractors soon to add to the load. Currently there is no way along the carriageway without running through a couple of potholes.

  • Still no work done to solve the problem here. Potholes continue to increase in size and carriageway continues to become less wide as the side collapses into the stream. It is IMPOSSIBLE to miss them all when driving along the lane. Not sure if an ambulance or fire-engine would be able to get to us if needed. Even one of your lorries (the whale gully sucker) refused to drive past the area!!
