Regular standing water covering highway

Reported via mobile in the Standing water on the highway category anonymously at 09:17, Monday 11 March 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14140632.

Large area of standing water here consistently gathering here, even after just moderate rain. Covers 75% of highway width for a distance of 10+ metres & is located on a blind bend from both directions & in close proximity to what is already a dangerous junction (B4363/B4201 at Six Ashes/Belle Vue Garage). Has been happening for several years, but increasingly for last 12 months & is now a daily/weekly occurrence. Temporary flood signs are inadequate & ignored - people are regularly swerving, emergency breaking & veering in to wrong side of road at significant speed - really worried someone is going to be killed or seriously injured & this route is on multiple school commutes/coach routes. Further flooding also happens between this location & Larch Barn Nursery/cafe (500 yards in Bridgnorth direction) & at Wall Town Farm (1 or 2 miles in Bridgnorth direction).
