All along Romsley Lane

Customer reported quite thick mud all along Romsley Lane, from Birdsgreen down to county boundary, following recent closure on A442 which runs parallel to Romsley Lane. Large HGVs used the lane as a cut through and churned the verges so badly, the mud has ended up all along the lane. It needs clearing as quickly as possible, as several cars have skidded on this mud, including one this morning.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
