A farmer has been cutting hedges this weekend 2/3 rd March 2024 and it is an offence to be doing so from the 1st of march ( it states this on the DEFRA website)

The said farmer should not be cutting the hedges this time of year - it is an offence due to do so due to nesting birds and other wildlife.
