Diabolical road closure/diversions/lack of signage

We had the misfortune of travelling from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster Fri 23rd Feb. The lack of diversions, part road closures and diabolical condition of lanes led to this trip taking nearly 2 hrs! There were no diversions signs after the initial one at Quatford, large hgvs, vans etc were using very narrow, poorly maintained country lanes and the workmen at the road closures were offering no help whatsoever to anyone that wasn't local. I feel sorry for anyone who has to travel this road as the council quite clearly couldn't care less about the state of the roads. What is the point of paying huge amounts of council tax when you can't even offer the most basic level of maintenance.
